Gorgeous. How did you get that top photo with leaves on the white background, and the shadows all perfect? I've always hated my "staged" photos; any advice to a poor soul whose intentions are good?
The leaves are real - all taken from the same tree. They were arranged on white paper and photographed. In photoshop, I cropped the leaves and made a duplicate layer. With the bottom layer I filled the leaves with black and then did a gaussian blur with a strong enough value to create the artificial shadow. Yep...it's a photoshop job!
Wow, Mike. Absolutely beautiful fall colors! And I love the rainbow leaves -- great effect!
One of these days I'm going to spend October traveling somewhere that actually has color like this in the fall. Here all we have is green... until the one weekend when everything turns brown overnight and falls in one massive thump.

POW! Great shots. Looks like our neighborhood. The reds and oranges are real intense this year.
Wow! Those colors jump out at you.
